I am an independent psychotherapist operating on an out-of-network basis and do not participate in insurance plans.My session fee is consistent with Bay Area rates for a therapist with 20+ years of specialized training and experience. Because fees are reviewed periodically, please contact me directly for my current rate.
Session Rates & Fees Policy
All sessions are 50 minutes. My practice is self-pay, and payment is due at the time of service or on a monthly basis, as arranged.
I accept cash, check, or payments via Zelle.
I do not offer sliding-scale slots at this time, but I’m happy to provide referral options if cost is a concern.
Insurance & Superbills
I am not currently contracted with any insurance companies, due to limitations in their contracts, and an increasing trend of insurance companies to interfere negatively in treatment. Some patients prefer to keep their insurance companies out of treatment, as reimbursement is often inadequate, and some find the interference and resistance they encounter not worth the hassle.
While I do not accept insurance, if you have out of network coverage (often called a PPO) you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of my fee through them. I can provide a monthly superbill for medical insurance reimbursement upon request. Many PPO plans reimburse a portion of the fee for out-of-network reimbursement. Because every plan is different, please check your benefits for “out-of-network outpatient mental-health” coverage. Please be aware that a medical diagnosis is required. I am not paneled with Medi-Cal, Medicare, or managed-care networks.
You are responsible for all payments and dealings with your insurance.
